Charlie Fuentes was named the Choate Boys Head Varsity Soccer Coach in 2015 after previously working at Worcester Academy as an assistant coach (2008-2012), as well as coaching premier level soccer at New England Futbol Club (NEFC) (2008-12). He has also served as the Boys’ Director at New England Premiership and State Cups Director for New England (2013-2020).

Prior to coaching, Fuentes was a strong player at Trinity College (Hartford), where he led the team in goals and points from 2004-2007.

Coach Fuentes puts emphasis on instilling life lessons into all aspects of the game as well as players’ experiences. 

“Choate is special because there is the opportunity to engage in both Athletics and Academics at an elite level,” he says. “Thus, what makes our student athletes special is that they are in fact STUDENTS first and must push themselves every day in all aspects of school life to find true success across campus and our fields.”
